You bring the film. We bring Italy, and everything it takes to shoot there.
When a production company, an agency or a brand from abroad needs to shoot in Italy, we become its team on the ground. We run the production side of the shoot, so the director and the client can concentrate on the film instead of on how to get it made.
International work is our normal work: most of our projects are commissioned directly by global brands such as Salesforce, Pirelli and UniCredit, and we have worked several times as the Italian production partner of large international agencies, mostly from the United States. Our crew works in Italian, English and French.
What we take care of
The whole production, or only the parts you need. Production management and budgeting, location scouting, casting and the shooting schedule; the shoot itself, with a core team of twelve that grows to thirty on larger sets; DIT and data management on set, so every card is backed up and checked before it leaves the location.
Our cameras, including the ARRI Alexa SXT, our lights and our drones never travel alone: they always come with someone from our team, the director of photography or a DIT, who runs them on set. Cinema lenses are usually hired as the specific package the director asks for.
Permits for public land, municipalities and drone flights over cities are handled by us as a separate service, as long as we know in advance. We can also take care of the Italian tax credit for foreign productions.
Then everything around the set. We know the territory and the people who work on it: we put you in touch with rental houses, catering and the other local suppliers a shoot needs, and our production team finds hotels and transport that fit the schedule.
Knowing where to go and whom to call is also what keeps the budget under control. A crew arriving from abroad without local contacts pays for every day it spends finding its way.
After the shoot, editing, color grading, visual effects and sound can be done by our team in Milan, or the footage can be handed over to your post-production house, wherever it is.
Where we work
Our operational bases are Milan, Turin and Bologna, so we cover the whole of northern Italy, from Lake Como and the Aosta Valley to Venice. In the centre and south of the country we shoot regularly in the major cities: Florence, Rome, Naples, Bari and more. Beyond Italy we shoot all over Europe, especially in Switzerland, London, Barcelona and Madrid.
We also work on the other side of the process. When a production shoots far away with a local crew, as has happened to us in Africa, the United States and Australia, we can be its post-production team: the footage is shot there and the film is finished here.
Frequently asked questions
Can you work as a service company for a foreign director and crew?
Yes, and we have done it several times. We can take on the whole production or only the parts you need, such as the local crew, the locations or the logistics. Our equipment is not rented out on its own: it always comes with someone from our team to run it.
Can you deliver the footage to our post-production abroad?
Yes. It can be done offline, with the rushes delivered after the shoot, or online, with dailies sent from set during the day. The online workflow needs a fast connection planned in advance and has a cost of its own.
